Program Description: Backcountry Wellness is a licensed behavioral health organization providing intensive outpatient service to clients 17 with eating disorders and co-occurring mood disorders. Backcountry Wellness offers a person-centered, holistic, and evidence-based treatment approach to help clients on their recovery journey. Through individual and group therapy, Backcountry Wellness' programming assists those who live with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake, Orthorexia, and Other Specific Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED).
Job Summary: The Office Manager and Care Coach is responsible for supporting the daily operations and overall environment of the facility. This hybrid role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming space while ensuring the health and safety of the client community. The Office Manager and Care Coach provides direct support to the clinical team by assisting with client materials, meal service, and group activities, while also managing key operational needs such as inventory tracking and general office upkeep. They will help facilitate daily programming, foster a tranquil and supportive atmosphere, and document client conduct and facility conditions as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility environment
- Provide direct support to the clinical team (e.g., preparing client binders, assisting with meals/snacks, offering group support)
- Assist with meal supervision, preparation, and documentation as needed
- Support post-meal cleanup to ensure communal spaces remain tidy and sanitary
- Assist with daily programming and actively contribute to the delivery of quality patient care
- Monitor and track inventory needs including food service items, paper goods, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Maintain office supply inventory and place timely orders in collaboration with program leadership
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and package handling in a confidential and secure manner
- Prepare materials and room setup for therapeutic groups, staff meetings, and client activities
- Ensure office equipment (e.g., copiers, phones, shredders) is functional and coordinate maintenance or repairs
- Participate in safety drills and uphold health, safety, and emergency procedures within the facility
- Foster a tranquil, safe, and supportive atmosphere for clients, staff, and visitors
- Actively assist with the facilitation of daily programming and provide observational support as directed by clinical staff Backcountry Wellness, LLC
- Document facility conditions, incidents, or notable client conduct according to organizational standards
- Uphold client confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical standards at all times
- Liaise with facilities manager for all necessary workstreams
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant subject preferred
- Experience in a mental health environment, eating disorder program, or caretaking environment preferred
- A calming presence and demeanor with the ability to manage situations independently
