From long haul directional drilling on large data center projects to pneumatic missiles on fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) projects, micro-trenching, fiber optic cable installation, and everything else in between, Backbone is involved in all aspects of fiber optic construction. Job Description: Backbone is seeking an Aerial Lineman candidate to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. Ideally, this candidate is a driven individual looking for a career opportunity with high-growth potential.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for helping with the overhead installation and/or repair of fiber optic cable.
- Responsible for daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Responsible for upholding standard of quality.
- Responsible for helping to set up job sites, traffic cones and signs.
- Must have the ability to climb poles, utilizing gaffs, ladder and a bucket truck to perform work.
- Responsible for job site clean-up and restoration.
- Follow all company safety, OSHA, and DOT policy
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience
- CDL
- Time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks
- Familiarity with the 811 Call Before You Dig system and process
- Proven experience in any overhead/underground construction
