What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chiropractic Receptionist position at Back in Motion?
Our small but busy chiropractic practice is looking for a dedicated Receptionist to handle patient-facing duties as well as general office management tasks. When our patients walk into our office, we want them to find a friendly, smiling face and a helping hand. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Open and close office daily
- Greet patients as soon as they arrive
- Schedule patients for future appointments - often multiple appointments are made at one time
- Welcome new patients - obtain new patient information and create a health record
- Answer the phone in a timely manner to assist patients with their scheduling and billing needs
- Verify insurance benefits via internet and/or phone
- Enter patient services into Eclipse medical software
- Collect payment/copayment for services rendered
- Maintain office flow by placing patients on/off therapy when needed
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Past experience as a chiropractic or medical receptionist a bonus
- Understanding of health insurance deductibles, copays and benefits
- Excellent computer skills - experience with Eclipse medical software or willingness to learn
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
- Ability to multitask while maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude
- Team player with an overachieving attitude and enhanced work ethic
Postion hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30am-6pm; Thurs 8:30am-5pm; Tues 8:30-1pm (Tues hours only in high season)
