Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Office Manager to lead the administrative, insurance, billing and financial operations within a busy chiropractic setting. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the office, including administrative workflows, patient scheduling, and billing processes.
- Manage fiscal activities such as insurance processing/posting, financial management, billing, coding, and accounts receivable to maintain financial health of the practice.
- Supervise administrative staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and support to ensure team productivity and morale.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA standards, and maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system for efficient record keeping and patient data management.
- Support practice management initiatives such as utilization management, managed care contracts, and quality improvement programs.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, insurance procedures including managed care processes, and billing practices to optimize revenue cycle management.
- Facilitate communication between clinical staff and external vendors or partners to streamline operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration with a strong background in clinic or hospital settings.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams effectively.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, billing procedures, and revenue cycle optimization.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and administrative documentation.
- Experience working within acute care environments or specialized clinics such as dental or veterinary practices is highly desirable.
