We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Front of House Manager to oversee front-of-house operations at our established restaurant and bar located in New Paltz.
This is a full-time position, consisting of five days per week and approximately 40 hours per week, with scheduling based on business needs. The role includes a combination of management and service responsibilities, specifically two bartending shifts and one serving shift per week, in addition to floor management and administrative duties.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional with strong leadership and organizational skills. This individual must be capable of working in all front-of-house roles when necessary while effectively supervising, training, and motivating the service team to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
A key responsibility of this role is serving as the communication bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. The Front of House Manager will promote seamless coordination, operational efficiency, and a collaborative culture that supports consistency, quality, and timely service.
In addition to daily service leadership, this position will assist in overseeing the restaurant’s social media presence, helping to maintain consistent brand messaging and promote events, specials, and community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of restaurant management or supervisory experience
- Proven leadership in a restaurant and/or bar environment
- Ability to perform and supervise all front-of-house positions
- Demonstrated bartending and serving experience
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen leadership
- Experience with or understanding of social media marketing preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills
- Knowledge of wine and beer a plus
- Strong professional references required
