Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of four (4) or more years of financial analysis and financial report preparation experience
- A combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience may suffice for the above requirements.
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level 2 background screening requirements.
- MBA, supplemented by six (6) or more years of financial analysis and financial report preparation experience.
Essential Functions

- Participates in the month-end closing process by compiling, analyzing, and posting General Ledger Journal entries, and reconciling select General Ledger accounts.
- Cross trains on all critical department duties to provide backup.
- Reviews and reconciles monthly federal contract billings.
- Provides detailed pricing analysis and development for contracts and programs.
- Provides back up support to the monthly program costing reports that detail how each individual program is performing against budget. Projects the gain/loss of net income at year end.
- Reviews monthly financial information, performs analysis, and prepares detailed financial and management reports.
- Reviews and investigates GL posting discrepancies, as well as ensuring proper correction of journal entries.
- Provides back up support to allocation setup. Creates, maintains, and distributes reports from organizational systems.
- Support entry of annual budget into the accounting software system. Supports the budgeting process on a broad scale as needed.
- Performs research and analysis as required. Responds to inquiries from organizational departments and other financial staff.
- Provides oversight and review of other accounting functions such as A/R and A/P.
- Prepares monthly direct labor (DL) reports for management to review Government mandated contract labor ratios by site and associated departmental areas. Monitors how each ratio is performing compared to projections.
- Responds to required governmental questionnaires, census and surveys as needed.
- Supports the tracking and reporting of organizational Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Compiles and analyzes financial data for the annual financial audit; prepares necessary files and documentation to support audit requests.
