What You’ll Own
Tax Leadership & Department Management
- Oversee and manage the entire tax department workflow
- Drive efficiency, deadlines, and quality control across engagements
- Improve and standardize tax processes as the firm grows
- Partner with leadership on strategic growth initiatives
Technical Review & Complex Tax Work
- Review complex Tax Returns
- Handle high-level tax research and technical issues
- Ensure compliance across federal, state, and local regulations
Tax Planning & Advisory
- Lead proactive tax planning strategies for clients
- Identify savings opportunities and long-term planning solutions
- Provide forward-looking advisory (not just historical reporting)
Client Relationship Management
- Run and lead client meetings and strategy sessions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and individuals
- Translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable advice
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Act as the go-to resource for staff questions and technical guidance
- Train, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors
- Help build a strong, confident, and capable tax team
What You Bring
Required:
- CPA license
- 7 years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience reviewing complex tax returns
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred:
- Prior leadership or management experience
- Experience with tax planning and advisory services
- Master’s in Taxation or Accounting
