Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, and specialty items with precision and creativity. Gluten free and vegan baked goods to start.
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques such as piping, fondant work, and other cake decorating methods to enhance visual appeal
- Package baked products attractively for retail display or catering orders while maintaining freshness and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing doughs, and assembling baked goods efficiently
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Support food production processes by monitoring oven temperatures, baking times, and ingredient quality throughout shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, offering samples when appropriate, and maintaining a welcoming environment
Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently and pay attention to detail.
- Previous experience in food production or restaurant environments is not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Strong communication skills combined with a positive attitude to deliver outstanding customer service
