What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Toddler Teacher position at Babies of Harvest Learning Academy?
We are seeking a warm, caring, and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and sensory-rich environment where infants can build trust, feel secure, and begin reaching important developmental milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support infants’ physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and experiences that promote exploration and learning.
- Maintain open, ongoing communication with parents about their child’s progress
- Follow all health and safety protocols and licensing regulations
- Observe and document children’s developmental progress and share updates with families and leadership.
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers and administrative staff
- Work Monday - Friday for full time employment
- Execute lesson plans and curriculum
- Maintain licensing requirements
- Complete required assessments and observations
- Build strong, rusting relationships with parents and help meet their needs
- Maintain cleanliness in the classroom
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA (Child Development Associate) or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Experience working with infants in a licensed child care center preferred
- Strong understanding of infant development and age-appropriate practices
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and meet the physical demands of caring for infants
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Passion for working with young children in a nurturing environment
