Role Description
Babe’s Plumbing, Contracting, Electrical & Fire Sprinklers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team full time. This on-site role is located in Nokomis, FL. The Senior Staff Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including financial reporting, reconciling accounts, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The role will also involve analyzing financial statements, collaborating with other departments, and supporting overall financial decision-making processes. Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget preparation
- Experience with account reconciliation and payroll processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- CPA certification or equivalent is a plus
- 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles
- Experience working in the construction or contracting industry is a bonus
