As a Field Project Coordinator for B&W, you will perform the duties of project manager for field-managed contracts (FMC) and field engineering studies. The primary focus of this role is to address needs for field managed contracts support with proposal development including:
- Scope determination
- Cost estimates
- Site bid walk downs
- Office support in PM role
- Customer/supplier communication
- Inter-company engineering communication and problem resolution.
- For FMC's, the Field Project Coordinator also manages the contract and is the technical lead on projects.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 4 years prior work experience
- Power Plant and B&W boiler product knowledge ideal
- Technical writing competency
- Must be well organized and attentive to details
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Desire and ability to travel internationally (including driving) up to 20% requires travel & driving (up to 20%).
- Up to 10% support of domestic Field Service proposals and FMC’s as required.
- Occasional field service work required, depending on availability of International Field Service Engineers.
- Prior international experience a plus.
- Prior FES experience a plus.
- The ideal candidate will be trained in systems and processes. Good learning skills and adaptability to systems and processes is important.
