We have three thriving all day cafés in downtown charleston that are beloved by the local community and visitors alike. At babas we make everything in house (from pastries to vinaigrettes to coffee syrups and everything in between), and we use the highest quality ingredients we can find. We're obsessed with offering our guests the most delicious sips and bites, and creating ways to elevate everyday moments. Our Meeting Street location will be moving to King Street this fall. This location acts as our culinary hub and production kitchen for all three cafés—this is where our incredible back of house team creates the magic!

We are looking for a back of house team member to join our growing company. This is a great position for someone hoping to get their foot in the door at babas—there is significant room for upward mobility, growth, along with opportunities for creative and professional development within babas.

This team member must have a great attitude; love working hard, clean, and efficiently; have a strong sense of curiosity; and be able to thrive working with a wonderful team in a busy kitchen. Experience is a plus, but we will train someone who is the right fit and eager to learn the babas way!

The babas on king boh baking team is expected to provide the highest quality product and guest experience possible in a professional manner through the unified efforts of the babas boh team. We accomplish this by following the leadership of the management using the tools, training and resources provided.

responsibilities
-ensure the successful prep for all pastry and savory items
-ensure the team members are supported
-help develop new menus items and recipes
-holding yourself accountable for established standards
-maintain production pars for all sweet and savory items
-maintain organization and cleanliness standards
-monitor product quality and freshness
-maintain working knowledge of food offerings
-follow department procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking of product
-maintain a clean and organized work space
-assist with checking in and receiving orders
-allow for flexibility in scheduling
-work with a sense of urgency

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
