Duties
- Operate machinery and equipment used in food processing and packaging to ensure smooth production flow
- Follow all FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines to uphold food safety standards
- Assist in the preparation, handling, and packaging of food products with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas by adhering to strict sanitation protocols
- Conduct quality checks on products to verify consistency, appearance, and compliance with specifications
- Support inventory management by accurately counting, labeling, and recording raw materials and finished goods
- Use basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and quality control tasks
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely when required to move materials within the facility
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with the food industry or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP practices, and food safety standards is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong sanitation habits and understanding of proper cleaning procedures in a food processing plant
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for operating machinery safely is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and record keeping
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks effectively
