Responsibilities
- Produce shop and erection drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel
- Use your own detailing software (Advance Steel, Tekla, SDS2, etc.)
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings to create accurate deliverables
- Walk job sites with our team as needed to take field measurements and review install conditions
- Respond to revisions, RFIs, and redlines throughout the project
- Ensure drawings meet AISC standards and are fabrication-ready
Requirements
- Proven experience in steel detailing
- Proficiency with detailing software (e.g., Tekla, Advance Steel, SDS2)
- Strong understanding of how steel is fabricated and erected
- Reliable communication and independent workflow
- Able and willing to visit job sites in the Baltimore area
- 1099 contractor (you provide your own tools and software)
Compensation
- Based on scope, complexity, and turnaround

Schedule
- Project-based (as needed)
- Flexible hours, but deadlines must be met
- Site visits may occur during standard work hours
Work Location
- Remote/flexible, with occasional on-site job walks in the Baltimore, MD area
- Shop location: 4220 Shannon Drive, Baltimore, MD 21213
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
