What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multifamily Maintenance Technician - HVAC position at B5 Recruiting?
B5 Recruiting is partnering with a large property management organization that is looking to hire several Maintenance Technicians. As a Maintenance tech, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to their residence ensuring the property is safe, attractive, and well-maintained. You’ll work closely with our property management team and gain hands-on experience in a variety of trades. This role will be a contract to hire opportunity.

- Prepare apartments for new residents (turns & move-outs).
- Complete work orders efficiently and professionally.
- Keep exterior areas clean and well-presented (curb appeal).
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance.
- Daily trash pickup and grounds upkeep.
- Maintain trash compactors and swimming pools (in season).
- Check irrigation systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work and materials used.
- Participate in the on-call maintenance rotation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- Plumbing.
- Basic electrical.
- Appliances.
- Carpentry & drywall.
- Roofing & flooring.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience in multifamily, apartment communities, residential property management, or a similar residential environment.
- Experience with plumbing, basic electrical, appliance repair, carpentry/drywall, roofing, and/or flooring.
- Ability to complete apartment turns, work orders, and preventive maintenance independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Own set of basic maintenance tools.
- Ability to participate in an on-call maintenance rotation.
Preferred:
- HVAC/EPA, CFC, or CPO certification.
- Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
Salary : $22 - $24
