Printing Operator

We are currently seeking candidates for the Printing Operator position. Some of the primary responsibilities are prepare machines for printing, operate & monitor printing machines, run several presses with different size and color capacities, ensure that paper and ink meet specifications, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Set-up and operate digital printing machines.

· Collect random samples during a print run to make necessary adjustments and prevent misprints.

· Change press plates or cylinders when needed.

· Process customer files according to desired specifications.

· On a daily basis, need to prioritize work assignments based on deadlines, overall company workload, machine capability, and client needs.

· Responsible for following up with internal team if a desired print job needs to be adjusted.

· Perform minor repairs and routine equipment maintenance.

· Troubleshoot any printer issues that arise.

· Replace ink, paper, toner, and additional printing materials as they run out.

· Responsible for ensuring that all needed supplies are fully stocked.

· Loads paper into the feeding tray of a printing press.

· Verify job specifications.

· Inspect ink and other mechanisms of the machine to ensure they are ready for the project

· Monitor the paper as it runs through the press.

· Make adjustments to the operations to prevent paper jams.

· Report status of the projects and any issues of the machinery department supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

· Minimum 1 year experience required.

· Must have computer knowledge and experience.

· Requires lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance.

· Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities proficiently.

· Have a strong sense of responsibility and be mindful.

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

· Some training or relevant hands-on experience is a plus.

· Excellent understanding of color theory preferred.

· Must be able to work overtime until all printing jobs are completed for the day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.33 per hour
