Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for mechanical systems.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, Conveyors, and fire protection systems in accordance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop comprehensive cost estimations.
- Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and pricing.
- Identify potential risks and challenges within project estimates and propose solutions.
- Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to internal stakeholders and clients as needed.
- Participate in post-bid reviews to refine estimating techniques and improve future project estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a mechanical estimator in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, cost estimation methodologies, and project management principles.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Primavera, Bluebeam, or other relevant platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and engage with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
Pay: $69,898.60 - $84,178.96 per year
