Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable 20-Ton Forklift Operator / Yard Technician to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This position involves operating large-capacity forklifts to safely move equipment, materials, and vessels within a marina or boatyard environment.
In addition to forklift operation, the selected candidate will assist with general yard operations, including organizing equipment, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting other yard tasks as needed. This role also requires direct interaction with boat owners and customers, so a professional and customer-oriented attitude is essential.
The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, comfortable working outdoors, and capable of performing a variety of physically demanding tasks in a busy marine environment. Experience operating or tying up small boats is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 20-ton forklift to move materials, equipment, and vessels within the yard.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and ensure equipment is operating safely.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures during equipment operation.
- Assist boat owners and customers during yard operations and vessel staging.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service when interacting with boat owners.
- Assist with handling and securing small boats when needed.

Must Haves
