What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Class Shipfitter position at B&D Contracting?
Must have:
3 to 5 years ship fitting experience in marine repair.
Reliable, on time, and safety oriented.
Follow all safety rules and practices.
Follow instructions and understand blueprints and drawings to accurately lay out steel to be cut within acceptable tolerances using a cutting torch.
Use a cutting torch safely and effectively to cut out old or damaged steel neatly.
Join new steel to old steel.
Must be detail oriented.
Must have good math skills.
Work year around in hot and cold environments.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
