Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Marine Carpenter to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This position involves building, repairing, and installing wooden and composite structures on marine vessels. The Marine Carpenter will work on both interior and exterior carpentry projects, including cabinetry, trim work, decking, bulkheads, and structural framing. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, work with marine-grade materials, and collaborate with other marine trades to ensure quality craftsmanship and compliance with marine industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, repair, and install wooden structures and components on boats and marine vessels.
- Perform interior and exterior carpentry, including cabinetry, trim, decking, bulkheads, and framing.
- Repair or replace damaged wood, laminates, and composite materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and marine-specific equipment safely and effectively.
- Work with materials such as teak, plywood, fiberglass, laminates, and marine-grade composites.
- Ensure all work meets marine industry standards and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with other marine trades including mechanics, electricians, and painters.

Must Haves
