1st Class Outside Machinist, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, alignment, and repair of shipboard mechanical systems and equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical manuals
- Install, align, and test shipboard mechanical systems and components
- Use precision tools such as dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, and laser alignment devices
- Disassemble and reassemble valves, pumps, shafts, and rotating machinery
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on marine propulsion and auxiliary systems
- Follow all shipyard safety regulations and job site protocols
Requirements:
