Position Summary
Seeking an experienced 1st Class Blaster/Painter for a shipyard environment. Responsibilities include abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and applying marine coatings to vessels and structural components while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Must-Haves
- 3 years of shipyard, marine, or industrial blasting and painting experience
- Experience with abrasive blasting and airless spray equipment
- Knowledge of marine coatings, epoxies, zincs, and urethanes
- Ability to read and follow coating specifications
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors
- Reliable transportation and attendance
Preferred
- SSPC, NACE, or AMPP certifications
- Forklift or aerial lift experience
- Experience with new construction and repair projects
- OSHA 10/30 certification
