Job Description
As an Apprentice Plumber / Drain Technician at B. Carlson, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians to diagnose, service, and repair residential plumbing and drain systems. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll learn the trade, build strong technical skills, and deliver 5-star service on every call. You’ll be in the field daily, representing the B. Carlson brand with professionalism, honesty, and pride in your work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with residential drain cleaning, repairs, and basic plumbing services
- Diagnose plumbing issues and clearly explain solutions to customers
- Perform inspections and document findings using ServiceTitan on an iPad
- Upsell repairs and solutions ethically, based on customer needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized company vehicle and job site
- Follow all safety standards, company processes, and quality guidelines
- Continue learning through on-the-job training and ongoing education

- 1 year of drain cleaning and/or plumbing experience
- Ability to use an iPad and our Service Titan software
- Customer service skills to diagnose and sell the repair to the customer
- Valid driver's license with no major violations within the last 3 years
