Job Summary
Join our dynamic legal team as a Real Estate Paralegal, where you will play a crucial role in supporting real estate transactions and ensuring compliance with legal standards. You will be the backbone of our operations, assisting attorneys with document preparation, research, and case management. Your expertise will help navigate the complexities of real estate law while providing exceptional service to our clients.
What you’ll do
- Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing real estate documents, including contracts, leases, and closing statements.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation through effective document management systems.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, and third parties to ensure smooth transactions.
- Perform due diligence on properties, including title searches and environmental assessments.
- Draft legal correspondence and documents while ensuring accuracy through meticulous proofreading.
- Support litigation processes by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and assisting with trial preparation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws including landlord-tenant law, UCC law, and environmental law.
Experience
- Proven paralegal experience in a law office setting with a focus on real estate or related fields.
- Familiarity with project management principles to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in legal software such as PCLaw and iManage for efficient case management.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage large volumes of information accurately.
- Experience in conducting interviews for fact-finding purposes related to cases.
- Knowledge of various areas of law including family law, immigration law, patent law, personal injury law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, and workers' compensation law is a plus.
- Demonstrated clerical experience with data entry tasks and administrative support functions.
