Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to perform trenching, pipe installation, and utility trenching tasks.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute sewer line installation and utility system projects.
• Install underground utilities including sanitary drainage systems, stormwater systems, water supply systems, and sewer lines following blueprint specifications and safety regulations.
• Use utility locating tools and techniques to identify existing underground utilities before excavation or construction activities.
• Perform concrete finishing, pipe laser alignment, welding, and concrete forming tasks to ensure precise installation standards are met.
• Adhere strictly to federal construction safety regulations and safety protocols during all phases of work to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including construction progress reports, incident logs, and inspection checklists.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of underground utility installation projects.
• Skilled in heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader operation, backhoe operation, excavator handling, forklift operation, and front loader trucks.
• Familiarity with plumbing systems, pipeline installation, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply systems, and wastewater systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately; interpreting technical drawings is essential.
• Competence in using hand tools for various tasks such as concrete finishing or pipe fitting; welding experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence during all operations.
• Experience with utility trenching, underground utilities installation including sewer line installation and stormwater management projects.
• Strong understanding of construction site procedures including trenching techniques and pipe laser alignment tools.
• Valid certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation (such as forklift certification) are preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a focus on safety standards.

Pay: $24.90 - $29.98 per hour
