Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics, inventory control, and material handling functions within the organization. This position supervises Shipping, Receiving, Bagging, Part Mark, Hardware, and Material Handling operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting production flow, and ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise daily operations of Shipping, Receiving, Bagging, Part Mark, Inventory, Hardware, and Material Handling functions
- Ensure all incoming materials are received, verified, and properly documented in the system
- Oversee outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, proper packaging, labeling, and on-time delivery
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies
- Coordinate material movement to support production flow and minimize delays
- Ensure proper bagging, labeling, and part marking in accordance with customer and industry standards
- Oversee hardware control processes, including kitting and traceability
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, ITAR, etc.)
- Train, coach, and evaluate employees to ensure performance expectations are met
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Contracts to support operational goals
- Identify process improvements and implement efficiencies in logistics and inventory control operations
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in logistics, inventory control, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience required
- Experience working in an aerospace/aircraft machine shop setting preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JobBoss or similar) preferred
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting
- Must have reliable transportation and work overtime as needed
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem solving skills a must
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team
- Ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
- Forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred
