RN - Assistant Nurse Manager (3p-11p) W3 Oncology - Kingsport, TN

The RN – Assistant Nurse Manager supports operational supervision of designated nursing departments with 24-hour accountability.

• Assists with staff hiring, retention strategies, and implementing operational management plans.
• Provides leadership to ensure practice within standards, policies, and procedures, and manages staffing to meet patient needs.
• Participates in budget creation, resource utilization, and supports a shared leadership model.
• In the absence of a RN, may serve as staff RN; ensures compliance with care standards and regulatory requirements.
• Engages in performance improvement, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice to deliver safe, competent care.
• Collaborates with educators and monitors quality indicators to develop improvement action plans.
  
  

Requirements include an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), RN licensure, BLS certification, and relevant clinical or leadership experience. Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on area. The role involves evening shifts with rotating weekends at a specific medical center.
