The RN – Team Coordinator is responsible for overseeing patient care and guiding nursing staff during night shifts in an acute care setting.
- Supervises and supports nursing staff, facilitates communication, and ensures compliance with patient-centered care and organizational standards.
- Assists with patient assignments, evaluates care, and resolves unit conflicts, serving as a clinical role model and mentor.
- Participates in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and LEAN initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Provides education, supports staff development, and actively contributes to shared governance and hospital committees.
- Maintains current clinical knowledge, promotes ethical practice, and ensures confidentiality.
- Qualifications include a valid RN license, relevant clinical experience, preferably BSN or higher, and certifications such as BLS/ACLS/PALS; supervisory experience is preferred.
- This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to ongoing education, working primarily from 7 PM to 7 AM in Kingsport, TN.
