The Polysomnographic Technologist/RCP is a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) responsible for conducting sleep studies, scoring sleep events per AASM standards, and ensuring quality care in the Sleep Lab.
They work closely with leadership to deliver accurate diagnostics and effective treatments for sleep disorders, including polysomnography, EEG, MSLT/MWT, oxygen and ventilator titration, airway management, and patient education.
Key duties include equipment calibration, troubleshooting, overseeing supply inventory, mentoring staff, and supervising new technicians.
The role requires an associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Ohio RCP license, and night shift availability (7p-7a, 7 nights/week).
