Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Role Summary: Provides anesthesia care during surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. Responsible for preoperative evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative follow-up. Acts as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and comfort, and facilitates communication among patients, families, and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Anesthetizes patients, selects appropriate drugs, and monitors patient responses.
• Induces, maintains, and adjusts anesthesia as needed; treats anesthesia variants.
• Assesses patient status, interprets hemodynamic data, and responds to emergencies.
• Conducts preoperative evaluations, reviews patient charts, and prepares the OR with necessary equipment and medications.
• Coordinates with surgical teams to ensure patient safety, including positioning and equipment troubleshooting.
• Maintains airway during emergencies, charts accurately, and transports patients safely.
• Serves as a mentor and preceptor to staff, residents, and students, sharing expertise and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills: Master's Degree in Nursing required. Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential.
