The practitioner supports infusion services, manages acute care needs, and provides inpatient and outpatient coverage, including administering intrathecal chemotherapy and participating in after-hours call rotations.
Responsibilities Include
- Performing assessments and managing treatment plans for oncology and hematology patients.
- Supporting infusion centers and managing side effects and infusion reactions.
- Developing survivorship and palliative care plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Providing patient education and counseling on diagnosis, therapy, and side effect management.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers for inpatient admissions, discharges, and acute care.
- Participating in after-hours triage and urgent care needs.
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Experience in oncology clinical or nursing roles.
- Licensure as an advanced practice clinician in the relevant state, with DEA and BLS certifications.
- Essential skills include strong communication, computer literacy, confidentiality, crisis management, and experience with electronic health records.
