Job Summary
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Special Education or assigned administrator, provides orientation and mobility instruction and services to students with visual impairments to promote safe, efficient, and independent travel in school, home, community, and vocational environments. Conducts assessments, develops individualized orientation and mobility programs, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, participates in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and consults with staff and families regarding the unique needs of students with visual impairments.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires an Education Specialist Credential: Clinical and Rehabilitative Services Credential: O&M. The candidate must have an English Language Learner Authorization/CLAD, valid CPR & 1st Aid Certificates
It is recommended you attach a letter of interest, 3 letters of recommendation (written within one year), and if you are a current teacher, a performance evaluation.
