Azure Standard is looking for an experienced and motivated Python developer with Postgres and Linux system administration skills to join our small, agile team. Ship code that matters to real people, across Azure's warehouse management system, ERP, and e-commerce site. We are particularly interested in someone who has helped make demonstrable improvements to the quality of larger code bases. Our developer team and this position are fully remote.
Minimum 5 years experience required. Competitive salary based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Write reusable and efficient code
- Design and implement low latency, data intensive applications
- Design and implement JSON REST API’s to be consumed by frontend developers
- Assist with maintaining our server infrastructure
Skills And Qualifications
Required
- Experience with Python web applications and task queues (Django, Django Rest Framework, Celery)
- Experience working in a live production environment without automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and writing complex SQL/ORM queries. Ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Competence with Linux system administration and web servers (Debian, Docker, Nginx)
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Strong debugging skills
- Proficient understanding of code versioning using Git (GitHub)
- Ability to communicate well via synchronous and asynchronous methods
- Self-motivation with attention to details
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with a team during business hours (8AM-5PM PST)
- Additional Elm and/or Angular experience preferred.
