What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Service Representative (PSR) position at Azure Eye Center?
Job Description
Who We Are
Azure Eye Center is an ophthalmology practice dedicated to helping patients see their best through skilled medical and surgical eye care — delivered with honesty, compassion, and integrity. Every patient who walks through our doors should feel welcomed, heard, and confident that they're in good hands.
About the Role
We're hiring a Patient Service Representative to anchor our front desk across both the Alliance (Fort Worth) and Colleyville locations. As the first face and voice patients encounter, you'll set the tone for their entire visit — so we're looking for someone naturally warm, quick on their feet, and unshakeable even when the lobby gets busy.
Day to day, you'll greet and check patients in and out, manage a steady stream of phone calls, coordinate scheduling, and keep administrative work moving behind the scenes.
What You'll Do
- Greet and check patients in and out with warmth and efficiency
- Handle incoming calls, take messages, and answer patient questions
- Book and adjust appointments accurately
- Confirm and update patient information in our records
- Coordinate with clinical staff to keep patient flow running smoothly
- Handle front-desk admin work — scanning, uploading documents, managing patient messages
- Work within ModMed EMA, RingCentral, KLARA, and Monday CRM
- Keep the front desk tidy, organized, and professional
- Travel between our Alliance and Colleyville locations as needed
- Represent Azure Eye Center's commitment to integrity and patient-first care
What You Bring
- 1 year of front desk experience
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to think through problems and show initiative
- A genuine, patient-first approach to customer service
- Patience and clarity when working with older patients who may need extra time or explanation
- Background in scheduling, check-in/check-out processes, and phone-heavy roles
- Exposure to ModMed EMA (nice to have)
- Familiarity with RingCentral, KLARA, or Monday CRM (nice to have)
- Sharp multitasking and time-management skills
- A dependable, team-first attitude
- Careful attention to detail, even when things get hectic
- Reliable transportation to travel between our two locations
- A calm, approachable demeanor under pressure
Why Join Us
- Pay based on experience: $14.00–$22.00/hour
- Monday–Friday schedule — no weekends
- PTO for full-time staff
- Paid major holidays
- Medical insurance available for full-time employees
- A supportive, close-knit team
- Room to grow professionally
- The chance to genuinely improve someone's care experience every day
Is This You?
If you're friendly, take initiative, and think analytically to solve problems on the fly, we want to meet you. We're looking for someone who brings professionalism and heart in equal measure — and who's excited to grow with a practice that values integrity, teamwork, and top-notch patient care.
