Aztec, an Activar company, provides comprehensive plastisol services to protect metal, including dip coating or molding and fluidized bed powder coating. We are hiring full-time Production Associates on our 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm.
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for performing secondary operations to punch, pad print, assemble and/or package parts within an assigned area as directed. The Production Associate accurately and efficiently completes orders to established procedures and quality standards.
This position involves highly repetitive operations. For a majority of the day you may listen to music/audio books while working in a seated position.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements.
- Perform pad printing and punching operations.
- Assemble and package parts to customer’s specifications.
- Obtain necessary materials and tools required to achieve expected run rates.
- Draft and maintain procedure sheets.
- Check all parts for excellent quality.
- Maintain accurate counts.
- Perform trimming on parts if needed.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
- Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
