What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator, Receiving position at AZEK Exteriors?
The Receiving Operator, under the direction of the Recycle Plant Manager, will be primarily responsible for safe, damage free unloading of inbound finished goods, packaging, and raw materials. Receiving Operators will also be required to pull and load the trucks of railing components being sent to our supplier for kitting, as well as unload and receive in the trucks of finished good kits returning from the supplier, under the direction of the receiving lead. The Receiver will perform other departmental duties as assigned. This is a rotating 2/2/3 schedule, on A crew days.

- Operates forklift to safely unload inbound shipments of finished goods
- Maintains paperwork for all loads
- Verifies that inbound shipments are damage-free and match packing list exactly
- Maintains clean and orderly conditions in warehouse and loading areas using workplace organization methods (i.e. 6S)
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all safety and equipment handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Pull all rail kitting components to be shipped to offsite supplier
- Load trucks for outbound shipments of components
- Receive and unload the trucks of incoming rail kits from supplier
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of incoming rail kits
- Performs additional duties/tasks as assigned by supervision/management
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience operating material handling equipment
- Forklift Certification – either current or in prior work experience
- Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong attention to detail, reading, comprehension and good communication skills
- Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Computer skills preferred, to include; basic input of information into ERP system on receiving and shipping process
- Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Day Shift: Rotating 12 hour shift
