The Prefabrication Intern will support the Prefabrication Coordinators and Project Management team to execute fabrication management and program management ventures for a specific project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Adhere to the company's safety programs and policies and assist others with compliance.
- Assists in the planning and coordination of fabrication functions including, but not limited to the following: scheduling, engineering, material control, procurement, safety and provide day to day support to project foremen.
- Assist Project Managers with job change orders.
- Attends project meetings as directed by project manager.
- Maintains drawing records in an orderly fashion. Maintains a drawing log and ensures that working copies are properly updated and old versions are voided.
- Assist in weekly job progress reporting accurate quantities installed and labor hours performed timely for job costing purposes.
- Provides technical assistance as required, such as interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience :

- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction or fabrication background preferred.
- Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
- Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
