Azarkian Architecture P.C. (AAPC) is seeking an Architectural Drafter to join our team.
THE COMPANY:
AAPC is a zoning and compliance-focused architectural firm based in New York City that provides compliance architecture solutions for commercial spaces and properties, closely following NYC Department of Buildings and other city agencies to navigate regulations with precision. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including zoning & code determinations, space planning & design, construction documents and site inspections.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for developing and modifying detailed technical drawings
- Drafting & Design: Create detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD, including plans, elevations, sections
- Revisions: Update and refine existing drawings to reflect changes in design, specifications, or project requirements
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and production staff to ensure drawings meet project specifications and quality standards
- Collaborate with in-house architects and expeditors to develop comprehensive architectural drawing sets that adhere to NYC agency standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Architecture
- 2 years work experience with NYC Building Code Zoning Regulations
- Previous experience working on commercial and hospitality projects
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Experienced AutoCAD user
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Highly organized with an attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Benefits kick in after 90 days of employment [*]
- Salary range: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year; commensurate with experience
- Opportunity for performance-based bonus compensation
