Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food safety sanitizing procedures are strictly adhered to during food handling and preparation
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, poaching stations, braising pots, and knives safely and efficiently
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring consistency in food presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace at all times
- Support dietary department needs by understanding dietary restrictions and preparing appropriate meals
- Collaborate with team members to meet high-volume production demands while maintaining quality standards
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food service environment, including fine dining or catering settings
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production processes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume production setting
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on serving guests with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Prior experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department settings is a plus
