Senior Estimator/Project Manager

AZ Custom Designs is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Senior Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team.

We specialize in premium window coverings for luxury custom homes throughout the greater Phoenix area. Every home we work in is unique, and every project requires thoughtful planning before installation begins.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys studying blueprints, catching details others might miss, and solving problems before they ever reach the job site.

What You'll Do

• Review architectural plans, reflected ceiling plans, and construction documents.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate project estimates.
• Identify framing conflicts, truss locations, recessed pocket requirements, and other installation limitations before construction.
• Mark and organize every window covering location directly on project plans.
• Anticipate and resolve potential installation challenges during the estimating phase to help ensure projects are completed correctly the first time.
• Coordinate projects with builders, designers, homeowners, and our installation team.
• Assist with ordering, scheduling, and overall project coordination.
• Help ensure every project is organized and installation-ready before materials arrive.
• Conduct job site visits with builders and homeowners to review project conditions and prepare for successful installations.
• Build lasting relationships through professionalism, communication, and attention to detail.

What We're Looking For

• Experience reading residential construction plans.
• Strong construction knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with custom homes is preferred.
• Experience in window coverings, cabinetry, millwork, electrical, low-voltage, or other finish trades is a plus—but we're willing to train the right person.
• Experience with Procore, builder trend, dropbox, and cad is a plus.

Compensation

Competitive salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience, construction knowledge, estimating ability, and overall fit.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
