Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Accountant role based in Fort Worth, TX. The Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and maintaining financial statements, creating budget and financial forecasts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also involves processing payroll, reconciling accounts, providing financial analysis, and supporting audits and tax filings.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Advanced skills in financial analysis and budget preparation
- Familiarity with financial regulations and tax compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Melio, Expensify, Excel, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry is a plus
- Experience in NIH/DOD federal grant management is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred
