Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz, PLLC (AWKO) — a nationally recognized mass tort law firm — is seeking an experienced Account Specialist to join our in-office team in Pensacola, Florida. This position plays a critical role in supporting our accounting department with a focus on general accounting, timekeeping, and general ledger entries using accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions
Reconcile invoices and ensure timely vendor payments
Maintain accurate records of client billing and attorney timekeeping
Enter and categorize transactions in our accounting software
Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and ledgers
Assist with month-end closing and other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
2 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Professional, reliable, and comfortable working in a team-focused legal office setting
Experience with mass torts, personal injury, or legal casework is a plus, but not required.
This position is in-office only. Remote work is not available.
