AyersTech Waterjet Cutting is a privately owned job shop seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our equipment, facilities, and operations running at peak performance.
This is a hands-on position responsible for equipment maintenance, welding repairs, facility upkeep, janitorial responsibilities, grounds maintenance, and supporting production operations as needed. No two days are exactly alike.
This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance mechanic, industrial maintenance technician, millwright, welder/fabricator, or mechanically inclined tradesperson who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, maintaining facilities, and taking pride in their work.

ResponsibilitiesEquipment & Maintenance
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and minimize production downtime.
- Repair or replace motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, pumps, valves, sensors, and related components.
- Install and assist with new equipment and machinery projects.
- Maintain maintenance records and parts inventory.
Welding & Fabrication
- Perform welding repairs on equipment, fixtures, and facility assets.
- Assist production with welding, fabrication, and manufacturing support projects.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to complete projects accurately.
- Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes and related machinery.
Facility, Janitorial & Grounds Maintenance
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
- Assume full janitorial responsibility for the entire facility, including offices, restrooms, break areas, production areas, entrances, and common spaces.
- Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and overall facility appearance.
- Manage waste disposal, recycling, and cleaning supply inventories.
- Perform lawn care, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.
- Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months.
- Ensure the facility presents a clean, safe, and professional appearance for employees, customers, and visitors.
Material Handling
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Move materials, equipment, and supplies throughout the facility.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Occasional flexibility may be required for maintenance projects, equipment repairs, facility needs, and seasonal activities.
- Earlier start times, later end times, or occasional off-hours work may be required during weather-related events, snow removal, facility emergencies, or unexpected equipment issues.
- Overtime is infrequent but may be necessary when business needs require.
QualificationsRequired
- Maintenance, mechanical, fabrication, manufacturing, or related experience.
- Welding experience or formal welding training.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work.
Preferred
- Industrial maintenance experience.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
- Press brake experience.
- Metal fabrication experience.
- Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Forklift certification or forklift operating experience.
- CNC manufacturing environment experience.
- OSHA or other industrial safety training.
