What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician position at Platinum Industrial?
Primary Job Duties:
- Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance and responding to trouble calls.
- Troubleshoot issues using schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage to 480V three-phase.
- Remove and replace defective parts from equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize and complete repairs.
- Maintain accurate entries in the maintenance log, documenting issues, repairs made, and parts used or required.
- Keep company tools organized and in working order.
- Fabricate repair parts, machine guards, mezzanines, etc., using shop equipment such as welders, plasma cutters, torches, and grinders.
