Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Pay: $22-$25/hr

Location: Onsite, Allentown, PA

Type: Temp to Perm, 13 week contract

Schedule: M-F 8a-4:30p

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, or a related field
• Familiarity with computerized accounts payable systems or ERP platforms
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and standard business applications
• Exposure to ERP systems and electronic payment platforms (EDI/EFT)

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing a high volume of financial transactions accurately and efficiently. This role supports the organization’s financial operations by managing vendor invoices, payments, employee expenses, and maintaining the integrity of accounts payable data.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices, credit memos, check requests, and other payment documents accurately and in a timely manner
• Manage payment preparation and disbursement processes, including check runs, electronic payments (EDI/EFT), and positive pay files
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices and credits are accounted for
• Maintain and update vendor master data, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation of changes
• Process vouchers in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements
• Identify and correctly set up prepaid expenses within the ERP system
• Support corporate credit card program, including vendor enrollment, transaction allocation, and approvals
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies through regular review of error reports (e.g., RNI, invoice holds, cost/quantity variances, out-of-balance issues)
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data across financial systems and databases
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders by providing excellent customer service
