An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a growing plastics manufacturing company in Erie, PA. This role will focus on managing product quality documentation, qualification activities, PPAPs, first article inspections, and customer quality concerns within a highly regulated ISO manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer prints and specifications to ensure compliance with quality requirements
- Manage quality documentation including inspection plans, PPAPs, first articles, IQ/OQ/PQ documentation, and qualification reports
- Support and maintain IQMS and Total Lean Management quality modules including ECO, SPC, Inspection, and Document Control
- Work alongside Tooling Engineers to resolve tooling-related quality issues
- Coordinate customer qualification and validation activities with engineering teams
- Manage outside calibration services for inspection equipment
- Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and corrective actions
- Communicate with customers regarding deviations and quality-related concerns
- Create and maintain inspection plans and supplemental quality documentation
- Conduct statistical analysis and support continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and cleanroom requirements
- Support quality system improvements, inspection methods, and process optimization
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering preferred
- ASQ Certification preferred
- Experience within manufacturing, plastics, medical device, or regulated production environments preferred
- Strong understanding of PPAP, First Article Inspection, IQ/OQ/PQ, SPC, and corrective actions
