Desktop Support Engineer

Job Purpose:

Maintains customers' operations by maintaining equipment performance; providing training.

Duties:

• Prepares equipment technicians by conducting training; helping assess work results.
• Completes operations by scheduling and assigning technicians.
• Provides customer support by providing training; responding to requests; resolving problems both on-site and on the telephone.
• Sets-up equipment by delivering, unpacking, assembling, and completing diagnostics; obtaining acceptance by customer.
• Maintains equipment by providing training; responding to requests; resolving problems both on-site and on the telephone.
• Helps customer engineer by designing modifications; implementing changes.
• Maintains reference manual by recording modifications and changes.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
