What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ed Tech Sales Manager position at Axiom Learning?
Axiom Learning partners with schools and districts to improve student outcomes through high-impact educational services. As we continue to expand nationally, we're looking for a sales leader who is equally passionate about building people and growing business.
This is not a role for someone who simply manages a pipeline.
We're looking for someone who develops people, builds trusted relationships with school leaders, and creates a high-performing sales culture.
You'll lead and develop a growing sales team while remaining actively involved in strategic district partnerships.
Responsibilities include:
- Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing Account Executives.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one coaching and pipeline reviews.
- Improve sales processes, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
- Partner with executive leadership to execute national growth initiatives.
- Build long-term relationships with superintendents, district administrators, and educational leaders.
- Assist with complex enterprise sales opportunities.
- Travel periodically for conferences, district meetings, and team events.
- Analyze sales metrics and continually improve team performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and servant leadership.
- Has successfully led education or consultative B2B sales teams.
- Knows how to coach—not just manage.
- Has a track record of hiring and developing top-performing salespeople.
- Is comfortable selling complex solutions with long sales cycles.
- Builds trust quickly with executive-level decision makers.
- Leads with integrity, humility, and accountability.
- Enjoys creating systems and improving processes.
- Wants to build something rather than simply inherit it.
- 7 years of sales leadership experience.
- Experience selling into K–12 education preferred.
- Experience managing remote sales teams.
- CRM expertise (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- History of exceeding revenue targets through team development.
- Experience with district partnerships, educational services, or EdTech strongly preferred.
Within your first year, you'll have:
- Built a high-performing sales culture.
- Improved forecasting accuracy and pipeline health.
- Increased team productivity through coaching and accountability.
- Developed strong relationships with school and district leaders.
- Helped Axiom significantly expand its national footprint.
You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of a growing education company where your leadership will directly influence students, educators, and communities across the country. We believe great sales leaders don't just close deals—they develop people, build trust, and create lasting impact.
