Role Overview
You will be responsible for designing and improving manufacturing control systems, optimizing production workflows, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role also involves technical leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and enhance control systems for manufacturing equipment to improve efficiency and reliability
• Develop and optimize production processes, sequencing operations, and adapting machinery to factory conditions
• Participate in the development of controls for a Greenfield site
• Conduct testing across all production stages to ensure process control and troubleshoot issues
• Provide technical guidance to product design teams to align with manufacturing capabilities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Lead RFQs, SOW creation, and manage vendors/contractors
• Plan and execute projects, including equipment installation and workflow coordination
• Supervise field activities and lead cross-functional teams
• Develop SOPs, operations manuals, and training documentation
• Support capital budgeting, cost optimization, and ROI/ROE justifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Software, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of project management experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with process controls and manufacturing systems
• Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred)
• Experience with Proficy (GE Digital) is a plus
• Strong technical documentation and process improvement skills
