Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager plays a key role in driving process improvement and supporting organizational change across the bank. This position partners with teams across all departments to evaluate current processes, recommend improvements, develop documentation, and support the implementation of new policies, procedures, and controls.
The ideal candidate brings strong project leadership skills, a business-focused mindset, and a passion for continual improvement.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Project & Program Management
- Lead and support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met
- Prioritize work effectively across concurrent initiatives and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams
- Monitor project health, budget, resource capacity, and dependencies to ensure project completion within established parameters
- Track progress, communicate updates, and drive initiatives to successful completion
- Facilitate steering committee meetings, project status meetings, and SME discussions to ensure appropriate levels of communication
Process Improvement
- Assess existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement improvements to business processes
- Support the creation of standardized workflows, operating procedures, and internal controls.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Develop clear, concise project documentation, knowledge base materials, and supporting project artifacts
- Prepare written communication, including process maps, procedure manuals, and PowerPoint presentations
- Maintain documentation to ensure alignment with current policies and regulatory expectations
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with executives, leaders, managers, and subject-matter experts across the bank to support change management
- Participate in project teams and focus groups, to gather feedback, understand needs, and support solution development
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and influence decision-making through sound recommendations
Continuous Improvement and Technology Awareness
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, and process improvement methods
- Recommend and support adoption of modern solutions that enhance business performance
Working Conditions
- Full-time, Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings, weekends, or flexibility in schedule or location may be required depending on business needs
Travel
- Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
Qualifications Summary
Education
- Bachelors degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- PMP or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
Experience
- 10 years of progressive experience within a financial services institution, with emphasis on process improvement, loan administration, or operations
- Demonstrated, proven project leadership experience
Knowledge & Skills:
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive timely results
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work across diverse teams and navigate change effectively
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership
